GM Powertrain Engineering Center Torino[1] is a powertrain engineering center founded in 2005.
The engineering center is headquartered in Turin, Italy, and is a subsidiary of General Motors.
During the alliance between Fiat and GM, it was part of Fiat-GM Powertrain. Later it was part of a company known as GM Powertrain Europe, which was responsible for the manufacturing of engines and transmissions until 2010.
In South America, Fiat-GM Powertrain still lives. The only product made by the company nowadays is the 1.8L Family I engine to be fitted in the Brazilian Chevrolet Corsa-C, Chevrolet Meriva, Fiat Palio and Siena, Fiat Idea, Fiat Stilo, Fiat Doblo and Fiat Grande Punto.
